Nordic Game 2017 has now concluded. Many thanks to our speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, partners and participants, and see you again next year.

In the Discovery Showcase on Friday, 19 May from 10:00-20:00, you can experience a selection of great new game projects from the region and around the world. Visit the showcase to play the creations and meet the developers!

NG16 Indie Showcase

Highlighting the Discovery Showcase will be the eight games nominated for the annual Sensation Award, which all NG17 attendees will able to play and vote for their favorite, as well as the eight finalists competing for the NGDC Finals GotY prize.

THOTH by Carlsen Games (Sensation Award nominee)
A challenging twin-stick shooter you can conquer alone or cooperatively with a friend.

Milkmaid of the Milky Way by Machineboy (Sensation Award nominee)
A classic point-and-click adventure game set in 1920s Norway.

Uurnog by Nifflas (Sensation Award nominee)
A whimsical collect-em-up platformer with algorithmic music.

Tick Tock: A Tale for Two by Other Tales Interactive (Sensation Award nominee)
A two-player puzzle/adventure game that is all about communication.

Totally Accurate Battle Simulator by Landfall (Sensation Award nominee)
From medieval peasants to modern-day weaponry, TABS is a wacky physics-based tactics game.

Triple Agent by Igneous (Sensation Award nominee)
A mobile party game for 5-9 people where each player is secretly assigned a role.

Morkredd by Hyper Games (Sensation Award nominee)
Fun and challenging, your goal is to ferry a large orb of glowing light through a pitch black world.

Budget Cuts by Neat Corp (Sensation Award nominee)
An upcoming stealth virtual reality game for the HTC Vive.

Aporia: Beyond the Valley by Investigate North
With a new story and puzzle mechanics, Aporia: Beyond the Valley is a journey into the ruins of a once mighty civilization, haunted by an ancient spirit.

Dartanan by XTeam Software
Serious game for children’s hearing assessment. Children can play the main game with their friends and parents, and the mini‐games can be adapted for training and learning.

Lake Ridden by Midnight Hub
On a camping trip during the last days of autumn, your sister disappears in the middle of the night. Lake Ridden is a horror mystery slated for PC release in Q1, 2018.

Lost Words by Sketchbook Games (NGDC finalist)
Lost Words is a platformer set in the pages of a diary, where running on words and puzzle-solving are top of the agenda.

Madballz by Monkeybin
An ode to Marble Madness but with a modern twist! In the works, will be out sometime during 2017.

OCMO by TeamOcmo (NGDC finalist)
OCMO is a physics-based ninja rope platformer with precise touch controls and deep gameplay. It is tough but fair and perfect for speedrunning.

Oxyjet by Upstairs Digital
Who could have known that the most ridiculous way to fly a spaceship was also the most fun? Two teams of two battle it out in an outer space arena.

PapAR by Crunch Studios (NGDC finalist)
PapAR is an augmented reality game where you draw your own levels on regular paper and can then play them directly on your phone.

See You On The Other Side by Tunnel Vision Games (NGDC finalist)
An atmospheric 3D puzzle game where the gameplay revolves around using lights and shadows. The player can move through shadows as if an object doesn’t exist.

SIHEYU4N by We Are Muesli (NGDC finalist)
SIHEYU4N is a unique, cooperative action-puzzle game, conceived as a multiplayer variation on classic falling-block mechanics for four players of all ages and types.

Space Krieg by We Heart Dragons (NGDC finalist)
A tactical team-based space dogfighter, similar to the X-Wing board game, with unique control scheme allowing tablet, gamepad and mouse/keyboard users to play together.

The Gentleman by Cape Copenhagen (NGDC finalist)
A rhythm-action narrative game like no other! Inspired by old Hollywood musicals, The Gentleman follows the story of “Fred, Liza and the Evil Count Grossenstein”.

Regional Nightclub Bouncer by Panic Barn
A post-Brexit musical road-trip thriller.

Trailmakers by Flashbulb Games
Trailmakers is part creative vehicle-building sandbox, and part open-world rally expedition. Scavenge, build and get as far as you can!

Book a Discovery Showcase table
Attention developers! You can still reserve a display/demo table on Friday, 19 May in the Discovery Showcase (located in the Dining Hall foyer) for just 299 EUR.

Each reservation includes a table (1.5 M x 0.8 M), two chairs and electrical supply. It’s up to you to bring your game and all necessary hardware (set-up access to the Dining Hall on Friday, 19 May from 9:00-10:00), as well as decoration for your table and lots of swag for the big crowds who’ll be lining up to give your creation a go 🙂

Note: When you’ve secured your showcase table, forward your confirmation email to us here and include the following info about the game you’ll be showing: A) game title and studio/developer name, B) a short text about the game (max. 30 words), C) in-game image (no logo/text overlays, min. 850px X 560px, JPG) and D) hyperlink(s) to the developer and/or game website.
