Since 2015, the Investing in Games Summit at Nordic Game has brought dozens of international investors together with almost 100 games companies from all over the Nordic region. Our investor panels on the “state of games” and in particular, Nordic industry opportunities has been followed by hundreds of 10-minute “speed-dating”- style meetings since the summit’s inception.
Investing in Games Summit at NG17
This year’s Investing in Games Summit is scheduled for Wednesday, 17 May from 13:30-18:00. Specialised investors in mobile games, game technology, VR and more are keen to meet with Nordic companies and be a part of the region’s games industry success story. Many of previous years’ global venture capital investors will be returning to Malmö, with even more confirmed to attend next month.
“We’re seeing an unprecedented level of interest from Asia, with several Japanese and Chinese investors already signed-up for the summit. It’s really satisfying to finally see a new geographic base of cooperation in games solidifying. In addition to the traditional links across the Atlantic and the Pacific, the Nordics are now serving as a central gateway to Europe from Asia,” says Investing in Games Summit project lead and Nordic Game Resources MD Erik Robertson.
Ready to meet with investors at NG17’s Investing in Games Summit? Here’s how:
1) Game developers (as well as games industry technology and service entrepreneurs) should first purchase a pass for NG17 here, which includes access to the entire conference, as well as panel sessions and mingle at the Investing in Games Summit.
2) Send a pitch (as a two (2) page PDF file (nothing else) that can be printed as one (1) two-sided (front/back) A4 page) that:
• Describes your team, company background and project with full contact info (project contact(s) name(s), mobile phone number(s) and email address(es)).
• Answers the two following questions clearly: “What are you asking for?” and “What are you offering?”, and indicate your target market(s) i.e. region(s), demographics, platform(s), etc.
Send your material to us here. The NG17 Investing in Games Summit pitch deadline is midnight on Friday, 5 May.
Speed-dating, summit participation and more
We will select a limited number of companies for speed-dating at the event, and may very well provide feedback and suggestions regarding the pitch material provided to both selected and not-selected summit participants.
With your NG17 conference pass and Investing in Games Summit pitch in hand, you will also receive one (1) free MeetToMatch Limited access pass. Remember to bring your laptop/all necessary project demo materials yourself.
Even if your project should not be chosen for the speed-dating portion of the event, you can still use your Investing in Games Summit pitch to create a profile in the MeetToMatch booking system to meet with investors and publishers during the three days of the NG17 conference.
Note: Submitted pitches from developers attending NG17 will be distributed to all accredited investors at the conference, including those not participating in the speed-dating at the Investing in Games Summit.
