In 2015, the first Investing in Games Summit at Nordic Game brought 16 international investors together with 28 companies from all over the Nordic region. An investor panel on the “state of games” and Nordic industry opportunities was followed by almost 300 “speed-dating” style meetings.
Last May, the developer-meets-investor event was improved, with pre-processing and 10 minute meetings to better match participants and optimise the time available.
Global venture capital investors returned to Malmö to hear developer pitches, and several exciting, new specialised investors met with local developers, looking to join the Nordic games industry success story.
Nordic Game’s partnership with NordicBAN anchors the annual conference firmly in the Nordic angel investor community, and the NG16 Investing in Games Summit also hosted open auditions for Gaming Top Talent, a contest created by IPC Ventures and designed to support mobile game developers around the world.
About the Nordic Game conference
Nordic Game is the leading games conference in Northern Europe, and 2016 was its thirteenth year. Gathering over 2,000 games industry professionals in Malmö annually, Nordic Game is the one and only “home turf” meeting place for the highly successful game developers of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.
