The presentation is an in depth discussion on what makes music sounds “original”, and the different ways to achieve it. I will discuss in particular the score for Fallout 4 as an example, and play music examples to demonstrate my theory. I will reveal some of my personal “secret” techniques and ways to create a unique sounding score that can work efficiently with the game, but also stand on their own as musical independent pieces. I will also discuss some of my private sound sampling techniques and how to use them in the score. I will open the session for discussion and questions early in the presentation so the audience can be an active part of the talk.
