Nordic Game 2019 has now concluded. Many thanks to our attendees, sponsors, exhibitors and partners for another wonderful event – read more here. See you again next year, on 27-29 May in Malmö, Sweden!
Friday, 24 May marks the return of Discovery Day at Nordic Game 2019. From 11:00 on the final day of NG19, the conference halls and auditoriums at Slagthuset will be brimming with exiting new titles, as well as tributes to the some of the region’s most artistic and innovative games.
As a NG19 participant, you can join the Discovery Day celebration in so many ways:
Discovery Day Showcase
Nordic Game will once again host a selection of great new game projects from the region and around the world in the Discovery Day Showcase. Play the creations and meet the developers – or book your own table and be part of the show 🙂

Created in close cooperation with long-time partners Copenhagen Game Collective, Yonderplay is an intimate, one-day event where developers chill together and share their games. As much a cosy fireside gathering as an exhibition, expand your game horizons at Yonderplay.

NGDC Finalist Expo
Sixteen games by very talented teams from across Europe have qualified for this season’s Nordic Game Discovery Contest Finals at NG19.
From 22-23 May, the NGDC Finalist Expo will be where the qualifier winners will compete for a spot in the NGDC Final Four. Over two days, a secret panel of judges will visit the finalist booths, with the exhibitors tasked to convince them (and visiting NG19 attendees) that their game is best.
The NGDC Finals will take place on Friday, 24 May from 15:00 in the Unreal Theatre. Be there to root for your favorite as the NGDC Final Four battle live on stage before a jury of industry veterans, led by games legend Warren Spector.
All NG19 attendees will also receive a NGDC Finalist Expo ballot when they pick up their conference badge, with the most popular title to receive the NGDC Season III People’s Choice Award on Friday, 24 May during the final wrap-up session of NG19.
NG19 speaker program
The conference speaker program on 24 May is also packed with talks about great games. Don’t miss the opening by Nomada Studio co-founder Adrian Cuevas, who will be talking about the creativity behind the stunningly beautiful GRIS, and be sure to attend the “Same Game, Different Music” panel, where a group of veteran composers will each share their scores for the lucky game chosen in our recent contest. Just a two examples of the packed NG19 program on Discovery Day!
NG19 After Hours
When all the talks are done, it will time to chill – and play the Discovery Day titles you might have missed. From 17:00-20:00, enjoy the games, hang at the bar, have a snack and bid us fond farewell (until next year) 🙂
