Welcome to our year-end flashback of the seventeenth and eighteenth editions of Nordic Game, Europe’s leading games conference and the only event in the world with a dedicated focus on the entire Nordic industry.

Following a very successful digital debut in May, Nordic Game returned online with NG20+ in November, delivering twice the Nordic Game experience in 2020.

Wednesday, 25 November
An expansive seven-part series on cloud tech for games presented by AWS Game Tech.

Fourteen (!) standalone sessions on topics including AI and music, open source development, games for social apps, the gaming scene in Africa, the game multiverse for creators and players, an Imperator: Rome post-mortem, working with artists, AI and bias in games, retaining talent, live-streaming game development, hiring diverse teams, healthy work atmospheres and using mobile haptics to connect with players.

Thursday, 26 November
App Annie presents an intimate chat with Alexis Bonte, COO of free-to-play gaming powerhouse Stillfront.

Two intense tech talks on developing with Unity, including final sound polish and UI-driven test automation.

Twelve (!) standalone sessions discussing cost-effective localisation, story-driven game design, upping your code reviews, machine learning and player acquisition, no-budget marketing, artistically important games, live ops in casual games, monetising on iOS without Apple ID, F2P game distribution, queer representation in games and the Finnish startup scene.

Friday, 27 November
An exclusive three-part series examining the challenges and advantages of external development presented by Amber.

Standalone sessions on rapid prototyping and exposure therapy for VR, as well as a final treat – a talk by industry legend Don Daglow on managing innovative projects.
