Reduce your travel carbon footprint when registering for NG23 Spring – donate to GamesForest.Club!

Nordic Game is proud to once again partner with GamesForest.Club to help reduce the carbon footprint associated with conference travel and to care for a section of the Amazon rainforest in Peru.

How does it work?
When you purchase a Nordic Game pass, you will see the option to add a 10 per cent donation to GamesForest.Club.

The funds will be collected and transferred to GamesForest.Club after NG23 Spring registration period has ended. GamesForest.Club will later provide the geodata of the protected forest areas and visualise the impact by planting digital trees in the Nordic Game digital forest on their website.

What difference can I make?
First of all, consider traveling to Nordic Game by train instead of plane. That will enormously reduce your ecological footprint right from the start – especially within Sweden.

Besides that, consider donating when buying a Nordic Game ticket – with a 60 euro donation, you will permanently protect 42 square kilometers of Peruvian rainforest, storing 2500 kilograms of carbon dioxide.

Where do the donations go?
Your donation will help to permanently preserve a section of Amazon rainforest in the Peruvian region of Madre de Dios, one of the most biodiverse places on Earth. This jungle stores large amounts of carbon (each square meter binds 60 kilograms of carbon dioxide) and is essential for a healthy climate on our earth.

GamesForest.Club’s local partner buys these wilderness areas, legally securing the land title and protecting them for the future as undisturbed unique ecosystems, only permitting visits for research and educational projects. Local forest guardians ensure the integrity of the conservation areas, protecting them against mining, logging, agriculture and hunting. In turn, they gain a sustainable income.
